The Food Quality Observatory analyzed the market for cookies available in Quebec in 2019 and 2024. Here are some key findings:
- The top 50 best-selling products are those that have shown the greatest improvement in nutritional quality between 2019 and 2024.
- By 2024, 85% of products would have been considered too high in sugar and/or saturated fat and would have been required to display Health Canada’s nutrition symbol on the front of their packaging.
