The Food Quality Observatory analyzed the market for yogurts and dairy desserts available in Quebec in 2018 and 2023. Here are some key findings:
- Yogurts and dairy desserts that have reduced their sugar content since 2018 have seen an average increase in sales of nearly 40%
- Products from Quebec contain less sugar than others!

In 2023, one in five products would have been considered too high in sugar and would have been required to display Health Canada’s front-of-package nutrition symbol.
