Observatory columns in the magazine L’actualité Alimentaire

The Observatory is pleased to introduce SCAN! to the organic food industry. Whether it’s a matter of meeting regulatory requirements, adapting to trends, or boosting competitiveness, SCAN! represents a new approach to food product design. Since its launch in November 2024, there have been nearly 6,300 logins to the tool and more than 520 product simulations created. This tool is free, try it!

In this section of the magazine, the Observatory shares data on nutritional trends for four food categories. Did you know that the sodium content of sliced bread purchased in Quebec decreased by 6% between 2017 and 2021? That yogurts made in Quebec contain less sugar than those made elsewhere? The Observatory shares its research findings with the aim of contributing to improving the quality of the food supply.
