A new mandatory symbol on food packaging
Why a new symbol, and how to use it to make choices at the grocery store? These are the questions the Food Quality Observatory seeks to answer in this second article published on the TOUGO platform.
The front-of-package nutrition symbol will apply to the vast majority of packaged processed foods and can truly help us make informed choices. However, it provides only part of the information: the ingredient list and the nutrition facts table remain essential for making informed decisions at the grocery store.
